Everyone seems to be doing one so I guess I'll hop onto the bandwagon :glasses:

Started 10th grade a few weeks ago (4 to be exact) and already have 3 assessment tasks which are due within the next 2 weeks. All three happen to be in-class ones so there's not that much pressure on me. I have a Maths one this Friday, English one next Thursday and History one on Wednesday. I pretty much got all of the content for Maths covered, I'm hoping for a high 70 to 80 at least and I got a bit to do for History and English. English should be quite easy seeing as I'm doing short stories and History is about how life has changed since 1945 for women in Australia. ;)

So how is it in Australia? Have you ever lived anywhere other than it?

Nope. Sorry for the late reply, forgot about this.

Anyways, the weirdest thing happened today. I was playing a full court game of basketball at school today. By the middle of the game I realised teams were unfair so I changed teams, grabbed a defensive rebound and went on a fast break, out of nowhere a small ball (european handball) hit me in the sack, I fell down hard and it really hurt. Karma much?

Ever had a teacher you just absolutely hate? Well I do. She happens to be my English teacher and before the year had started I was actually looking forward to this years English lessons, but after finding out who my teacher was I instantly lost interest. It's a shame that she has to spoil all the fun I wanted to have. I'm in the process of writing a letter of appeal to change classes though, hopefully I do change classes, despite leaving my friends I'd really like to get out of that hell hole. She puts you on detention for no given reason, ignores you for no reason and gets distracted waaaaay to easily.

Today was my school's cross country but there was a lot of time left over for the day so the school added in a few events such as long jump, high jump and 100m sprints. Amazingly enough, I have actually found that I had a hidden talent in long jump. Three years ago was the last time I tried long jump and I did pretty bad  . Today I beat my whole age group by at least 20 cm on the first attempt. They called me back for another jump and I got a bit worried cause I had a feeling it was a fluke but then I actually got further on the second try but I jumped waaaay earlier than I should have. Unfortunately despite winning by 10-20 cm in the first attempt I came fifth overall (fourth was 1cm better) for my age group, which I believe is pretty damn impressive seeing as I didn't think I'd make the top 10.

School starts again on Tuesday and I don't know why but I'm actually glad it's soon. I've been so bored lately that I've watched so many damn movies this holidays. I've played Fifa 09 and NBA 2K10 on Xbox 360 so much that I'm actually bored of it and I think I'm going to go and get Fifa World Cup 2010 tomorrow since it is only $32.

Yeah, I'm thinking about going straight to uni after finishing school unless me and a couple of friends decide to take a break and go on holidays or something.

Are you in uni?

So you still have a while to wait till uni starts right?

I was thinking about going to the US with my friends cause then it'll be my first time but I'm going with my family at the end of this year most likely. I still will probably go on a holiday with my friends to somewhere relaxing though, possibly Bali ^_^

We start school at around 31st of January or sometimes a bit before or after that and then we have 10 weeks at school before having a two week break. We have another ten weeks and a two week break for another two times throughout the year. Then a week before Christmas we have a 6-7 week holiday till it starts over again.

Got back from basketball a few hours ago. One of my teammates couldn't make it to the game because no one could take him home so we had to get two random players, both my friends though. We were playing the worst team in the league and got a bit cocky and mucked around, I hit four deep threes throughout the game and we ended up winning the game by 3 points. The other team got 3 free throws in the last second which could have tied the game but the guy choked and missed all three

So I went and watched Inception (finally!) on Sunday and I was really impressed. I mean it's one of the best movies that I have seen. I'm going to be going to watch The Expendables this Sunday with a bunch of friends.
