Quote

CLEVELAND - A fan wearing a Miami Heat jersey of LeBron James drew the ire of the crowd at a Cleveland Indians game and was escorted out of the ballpark.

Fans in the left-field bleachers chanted obscenities and pointed at the man Wednesday night during the sixth inning of the Indians' 8-0 loss to the New York Yankees. Hundreds of fans joined in before security led the man out of Progressive Field.

As he left, some fans followed him toward the gate with more derisive chants.

Honestly, if I were LeBron, I would just skip any games in Cleveland for the next few years. It isn't like they'll need him anyway, and I really do think it could be a dangerous situation if he comes to town next season.

Holy [expletive] that is insane! in a way i dont think LeBron should get intimidated and show weakness, but if there is a huge possibility tht he could possibly get really hurt i wouldnt want tht happening either so id say dont go to the games if maybe after the first game it was really bad. haha and that was just a fan wow..

 Damn why couldn't this have happened Monday night when I was there? I was sitting in those bleacher seats too!

But yeah, you really have no idea how much LeBron is hated here. When he comes here to play, it is going to be so crazy. Definitely going to that game.

Horrible analogy.

But yeah, there will probably be some crazy stuff the 1st game Lebron has to play in Cleveland.

Man this is to a [expletive]ing fan man. [expletive] I don't think LeBron can ever walk down Cleveland again. LeBron should just play one game in Cleveland and that's it.

This guy was blatantly being an [expletive] though. I doubt LBJ will dance on the bench and be cocky. But then again, it is Prince James we're talking about.

The fan looks like he was being a dick. Any sports city would have done this if a player of LeBron's caliber left them, especially like a Championship deprived city like Cleveland.

The guy did that on purpose, glad he got the reaction he wanted. No way can you expect to show that off in the city of Cleveland, especially since it didn't happen that long ago... idiot.

Of course he did it on purpose but how does that excuse the fans for their reaction?

I believe now there is a law made by the people of Cleveland that wearing anything involving with LeBron James will it will be booted or escorted from any event or so. I can't believe still how serious this city can be; looking forward to the Miami Heat @ Q&A Arena with the Cavaliers, its gonna get a bit crazy. If it happens.....

Cleveland is a diehard sports town. Obviously not a NY, BOS, or LA... but they have really passionate fans. And they have so many depressing sports moments summed up as one-liners. Seriously... I mean they just lost LeBron and they're going to an Indians game. How they reacted was probably over the top, but it's Cleveland... and they are passionate. I really wouldn't have expected any less.
