McGrady, Martin swap cities

February 18th, 2010 Brandon Neal No comments

As of late Wednesday night, the Sacramento Kings and the Houston Rockets agreed to trade guard Tracy McGrady, forward Carl Landry, and forward Joey Dorsey to the Kings for guard Kevin Martin, guard Sergio Rodriguez, forward Kenny Thomas and forward Hilton Armstrong.

While the trade has been confirmed by multiple sources, there is no clear evidence that McGrady will stay with the Kings.  Other possibilities include a buyout, in which McGrady has privately requested a spot on the Cleveland Cavaliers or the Los Angeles Lakers, as well as a trade to the New York Knicks, who have been rumored to be making a push for McGrady since last week.

Sacramento’s Kevin Martin to have wrist surgery

November 6th, 2009 Brandon Neal Comments off

The Sacramento Kings just can’t catch a break…

Inside Hoops: Sacramento Kings’ guard Kevin Martin will undergo surgery Monday, November 9th at the UC Davis Medical Center to repair a non displaced hairline fracture of the navicular bone in his left Wrist. Dr. Robert Szabo will perform the procedure. Martin is expected to miss a minimum of eight weeks.

Considering the team is set to endure another losing season, it probably makes sense for Martin to have this problem fixed correctly rather than trying to play through it.

It’s tough to say who on the Kings will make up for Martin’s scoring. There was a huge gap between him and everyone else.
